The home beer market has been slowly moving towards cans away from glass bottles due to cans being lighter, resilient and easily portable for picnics, festivals etc. Plus the recycling of cans is more widespread in local communities. With that in mind F&M decided to switch their house beer range to cans.
The brief was to develop the look of the existing range but to modernise it and to allow for the restraints and advantages of printing directly on metal. A creative brief that involved research and liaising with the can producer on effects and limitations.
We produced a range that is bright and colourful and retains the F&M quirkiness of old but adds a fresh vibe. This look was enhanced later by the addition of a carry home box.
