Heritage Calendar

The work of the illustrator John Gilroy became synonymous with Guinness and during the 35 years of their association his work appeared in over 100 press advertisements, 50 posters designs, numerous show cards and waiter trays. He is best remembered as the inventor of the Guinness wild creatures – including the toucan, ostrich, sealion, lion and their long-suffering zookeeper.

Drawing on the wealth of work in the Guinness archive we produced this limited edition calendar. Beautifully printed on a cotton rich paper the pages were perforted so the main image could be later detached and framed.
